"L'ega te cuna" in Penìa
"L'ega te cuna", in Ladin language "The water in the crib", is a 13-stage educational trail in the forest that tells the cycle of water, the generator of all life, and its legends.
This easy and fascinating itinerary, not much longer than 2 km to cover in about 45 minutes, winds through the forest, and by means of wooden walkways crosses the river "Avisio", which originates and springs at the feet of Marmolada glacier. The trail is enriched with information plaques, indicating the most relevant points of interest and proposing some interactive games. Along the walk, leading to "La Sia" (the ancient Venetian water sawmill), visitors is offered the opportunity to get to know the peculiarities of this magnificent ecosystem, including local flora and fauna. <p>The plaques provide a lot of useful information: from explanations about water cycle to the telling of legends related to water springs, all the way to brook’s seasons and stones. There is also a stop named "The voice of the brook": a Ladin poem written by Stefano Dell’Antonio.</p> <p>Stops: 1. Sister Water; 2. From Marmolada to river Adige; 3.
