Canope Path
A trail suitable for everyone, surrounded by nature, where you can discover the traces of ancient mines.
The Sentiero delle Canope was created thanks to the efforts of the Argentario Ecomuseum and the people of Argentario to enhance the area's mining heritage and its most striking places, such as Lake Santa Colomba. <p>The itinerary is a relaxing loop trail through a dense forest of conifers and deciduous trees that leads to the discovery of some ancient canopies dug by medieval miners in search of silver deposits; the Argentario area is named after this precious mineral!</p> <p>The forest opens up at moments and gives scenic glimpses such as the one visible from Dos dei Brusadi. Along the trail there are also, interesting illustrative panels to learn more about the geology, history and life of the canòpi, as well as the legend of these places.</p>
