Cable car tour

<p>A route inspired by the heavy military cableway that during the Great War (1914-1918) connected the Calliano railway station to Folgaria, from where another network of cableways distributed goods and ammunition to the most advanced front lines. A demanding itinerary of historical, scenic and natural interest</p>

<p>This is not an itinerary within everyone's reach as it requires, for the return to the starting point, the overcoming of a difference in height of about 750 m. On the other hand, it offers unusual points of interest of a historical, scenic and naturalistic nature. Primary points of historical interest are the remains of the transit stations of the military cableway located in Carpeneda, Mezzomonte di sotto and Ondertol; other points of historical interest are the 18th-century church of San Valentino and the ancient Cimbrian farmstead of Ondertol. Other elements worthy of attention are at viewpoints (from San Valentino, from Mezzomonte, from Ondertol) and various naturalistic elements such as the mid-mountain vegetation belt and the Rosspach stream.</p>
