834 - Scalata Finonchio

It is not a particularly demanding climb, but it is not to be underestimated, you need good legs! Once at the top, the fatigue is compensated for by the breadth of the views and the beauty of the place. And you can't miss a stop at the refuge!

The SAT refuge stands there, high up on the mountain. From up there, the gaze is lost on the horizon, among the peaks, from the Pasubio massif to the Brenta Dolomites, then further on, beyond the Adamello and Presanella glaciers, beyond the mountains overlooking Lake Garda, what a sight! We get there with a climb of medium difficulty, along a comfortable dirt road. Now here we can breathe peace, the meadowy hump of the mountain gives us ample space, the crisp air blowing in from the valleys, cooled by the snow at altitude. But we cannot leave without stopping at the refuge. A slice of ricotta cake, a strudel, berries with cream, ring any bells? These are the delicious flavours of Trentino!
