32 - Astico Tour
<p>Mills and hydraulic sawmills were built along the initial stretch of the Astico torrent in the Trentino section. Today, various testimonies, some of them truly significant, remain of these artefacts, which were protagonists of the rural economy of the mountains until the First World War. Going to rediscover them is a journey through time and history.</p>
<p>The ecosystem surrounding a stream is always very rich. Flowers, plants and tree species typical of humid mountain environments tell of precious corners of nature, to be discovered and rediscovered. Among them are signs of the centuries-old activity of man. The Astico Tour leads to the discovery of the ancient maso della Porta (remains of a mill and bakery) and the fascinating natural environment that accompanies the Astico torrent.</p>
