It is one of the most important cycling paths in the Trentino area: Valle dell'Adige is a privileged path for bikers. The path runs along the river, over the old riverbank roads, crossing over fields and through fruit orchards, protected from vehicle traffic. In the San Michele - Nave San Rocco - Lavis - Trento leg the difference in level does not exceed 100 metres. There are many fully equipped stopping areas.
Starting from Piana Rotaliana, you go through the town of Grumo, separated by San Michele all'Adige by a grand arch bridge, with an underpass in the quay of the river. Here a branch of the course called "del Teroldego", 7 km long, starts and goes towards Mezzolombardo and Mezzocorona.
Pedaling along the Adige river you reach the town of Nave San Rocco and you cross over the river to proceed to the left. Now you leave the riverside and go along the Biotope Foce dell'Avisio, a bird sanctuary. You go over the stream using a walkway on the outskirts of Lavis and you go back towards the river bank at the Trento Nord toll road exit. The next 3 kilometres of the path go along the sheer cliffs of Soprasasso. You now enter the city: at first on a sidewalk, then on the tree-lined banks separating the river from the Adigetto channel.
