Museo Miniere Vignola
The Museum of Mines is located in Vignola, a village not far from Pergine Valsugana. It was born thanks to the Filò Association, an association created by some young people in 2006 with the aim of bringing together their ideas and passions to safeguard the territory from every point of view.
The mines of Vignola are located on the side of Mount Orno where the oldest rocks of the region emerge, the phyllids of the alpine base that have been raised to the current height of about 2000 meters. Mining activities in the Vignola area have been known since the Middle Ages and ended towards the end of the 1960s.
Inside the Museum, at different times of the year, various exhibitions of minerals from different places will be set up, but a part will always be dedicated to the mines of Vignola with unique minerals and crystals from various collectors, accompanied by carbide lamps, and various equipment used from the Middle Ages to the present day. The museum is open every Saturday and Sunday. All fans and will not be able to admire the collections of crystals and minerals exhibited in the mine-museum at the typical restaurant Stube Valzurg in the hamlet of Vignola, with free admission.
