Museo Guerra Fronte Adamello - Recuperanti in Rendena
The story of the Great War on the Adamello narrated by the objects the glacier has given back: from war materials to sleds. An unmissable collection for those who love history and the stories that have made it great.
This museum tells the story of the Great War and its dead by making the glaciers speak, which over the years have returned war materials, personal belongings, clothes, sleds and skis. Opened in 1973 by two enthusiasts, Giovanni Pellizzari and Sergio Collini, the Museo della Guerra Bianca Adamellina “Recuperanti in Val Rendena” also displays documents, photographs and books on the First World War. Thirty years ago the Autonomous Province of Trento recognized the exhibition as permanent and today the Museum works in partnership with the theme museums of Bersone, Temù and Vermiglio. The new venue, opened in 2007, was designed by the architect Sergio Camin and strongly supported by the Adamello White War Museum Association.
