Centrale Santa Massenza - Hydrotour Dolomiti
A truly immersive experience
A fascinating journey to discover the wonders guarded by the Santa Massenza power plant. A surprising experience, through unprecedented paths, where water becomes energy. The power station is part of an articulated system that, through a vast network of tunnels, forced ducts and hydraulic works, brings water from the peaks of the Adaello to Lake Garda. The power station building was designed by architect Giovanni Muzio, the architect behind the Università Cattolica and Palazzo della Triennale buildings in Milan, as well as the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth. The spectacular turbine room of the Santa Massenza power station, with a volume of over 150,000 cubic metres, is dug entirely out of rock at a depth of 600 metres.
