Casa degli Artisti “Giacomo Vittone”
A reference point for artists in search of inspiration, the Casa degli Artisti was born from the idea of the painter Giacomo Vittone who, at the end of the 1960s, chose the village as a "buen retiro".
In the early 1960s, the painter Giacomo Vittone, inspired by the views of the village and its magnificent view of Lake Garda, chose Canale di Tenno as a "good retreat": a pleasant place to find inspiration for his works. So he had the intuition to found the Casa degli Artisti, a place where art lovers could find hospitality and share their work. Over the years, the works of the artists who have stayed in the village have gradually enriched the "Casartisti Collection" with sculptures, paintings, graphic works and ceramics. Today, in addition to its collection, the Casa degli Artisti hosts interesting temporary exhibitions and cultural events, as well as seminars, thematic courses and study stays, in collaboration with art academies and institutes.
