Marmolada is known as the Queen of the Dolomites. With its 3,342 m a.s.l., it overlooks Rocca Pietore and the entire Agordino. Marmolada can be reached from Malga Ciapela small village, taking the ski-lift featuring three separate sections. The first section stops at Banc, the second reaches Serauta, and the third gets to Punta Rocca. Malga Ciapela is just a short distance away on the legendary 12 km-long ski-run Bellunese, renowned as the most beautiful ski-runs of the Alps.

The Museum of the Great War can also be visited at the intermediate station of Serauta. It houses artefacts and accounts of the First World War. The so-called Ice City was built here during the war; such massive military feature a dozen km tunnels dug by Austrian soldiers, and going down to 40 m underground.

In the wintertime, from November to May, Marmolada means kilometre after kilometre of perfect ski-runs. The Padon area is located at its feet and is connected to Arabba and Porta Vescovo. More than 100 Alpine routes have been tracked on Marmolada's southern wall. Numerous walks and hikes can also be enjoyed here.*

The most popular attraction between Rocca Pietore and Malga Ciapela is Serrai di Sottoguda - a narrow 2 km-long canyon boasting waterfalls along its walls which turn into ice in the winter.
