Sorry
Dance theatre performance by the Clochart collective
Knowing how to apologise affects our relationships. All it takes is a sentence of apology, a few simple words, and a possible quarrel ends in a hug or a handshake and everything is resolved for the better. Apologising is not a sign of weakness, but of great intelligence. It is a sign of maturity, of taking responsibility and being able to realise that you were wrong. For children, arguing is an absolutely natural occurrence, almost a playful activity endemic to relational dynamics.
Apologising is education, knowing how to do it is an art.
Arguments between children are opportunities for cognitive, emotional and social growth.
The two protagonists will live in a carambole of amusing disputes that come from the world of childhood, but that we often find also in adults, which is why this is a show to be shared with families.
The only scenic elements are letters that will transform the space into places and shapes useful for finding the words to apologise, one word against thousands of actions. There are many ways to say sorry, in some cases all of them must be used, in others one is enough. So apologising can be a gesture that strengthens friendship, clarifies doubts, is a remedy against hatred.
