Pippi Longstocking
AIDA Foundation presents
A figure and puppet show tells the story of Pippi, an absolutely unconventional little girl, and her friends, through their jaunty, carefree eyes.
From the arrival at Villa Villacolle to the games with Annika and Tommy, the show gives an exhaustive and amusing picture of one of the best-loved characters, all in a colourful setting.
Scenes, costumes and puppets were created by Tjåsa Gusfor, one of Sweden's leading set designers, who recreated Pippi Longstocking's micro-world, a sort of fantastic miniaturisation of her house, inside and out, where the puppets (guided by the actors on stage, not hidden away as in puppet theatre) are the real stars of the scene.
In life you have to be a bit crazy, otherwise you go mad.
