Quartetto Arod: Haydn and Schumann in the strings of a prestigious string quartet.
Amid water, meadows and lichen-covered rocks in the enchanting, rugged Lagorai landscape, for some years now the shores of the Bombasèl lakes in Val di Fiemme have played host to big international names in chamber music. For instance, take the Arod string quartet, who’ve grabbed the attention of the music world since they formed in France in 2013. The four musicians have triumphed in numerous competitions, starting with First Prize in the “ARD” International Music Competition in Munich in 2016. They were named “BBC New Generation Artists” in 2017 and “ECHO Rising Stars” the following year. The Arod Quartet collaborate with famous artists such as violists Amihai Grosz, Antoine Tamestit and Mathieu Herzog, pianists Éric Le Sage, Alexandre Tharaud and Adam Laloum, cellists Raphaël Pidoux and Kyril Zlotnikov, and many more besides. They will perform quartets by Haydn and Schumann.
LOCATION
Fiemme, Lagorai mountain chain, Laghetti di Bombasèl. The mountain little glacial lakes can be reached by walking along ancient military mule tracks created by young soldiers during the First World War. Lagorai is the largest mountain group of the western Trentino. It's the silence accompanying you in these wild lands, where the eagles fly. At a short distance, your eyes will see the magnificient heritage of the Dolomites.
How to get there
From Cavalese via the Alpe Cermis gondola lift and Lagorai chairlift to Paion, then on foot; 1 h walking time; altitude change: ascent of 280 metres; difficulty level: E. he path has rough terrain but is easily passable with walking boots. There is also a section with steps.
