Around the Nativity Scenes
Visitors can view the outdoor nativity scenes located in 40 different locations around Canazei
Once again this year, during the Christmas period, the much-awaited nativity scene exhibition returns, a tradition that enchants young and old alike with its atmosphere of warmth and spirituality. Made entirely by hand with commitment, passion and an extraordinary dose of creativity, the cribs are the fruit of the work of private citizens and local associations. Around 40 unique works, each with its own character and style, will be set up in the most evocative corners of the historic centre and the hamlets of Gries, Alba and Penìa, transforming the area into an open-air museum. From 22 December to 6 January, visitors will be able to follow an itinerary through the streets of the town, discovering these small handcrafted wonders immersed in the magical setting of the Val di Fassa.
For those wishing to explore all the cribs, a handy map is available at the churches and tourist offices in Canazei and Alba. An unmissable opportunity to experience the Christmas spirit through the art, tradition and charm of the nativity scene.
