Cascata del Lupo and the pyramids of Segonzano crossing the Val Regnana

A rather long itinerary that guarantee a day of a healty walk, with points of natural interest, long crossing through the forest on ancient mule tracks in pleasant villages scattered along the way.

The beauty of this itinerary lies particularly in the amenity of the two points of interest along the route: the majestic "Cascata del Lupo" with a drop of over 30 meters and the site of the Segonzano Pyramids, which contains a geological phenomenon dating back to the glacial thaw. Furthermore, relaxing paths and mule tracks connecting ancient villages, such as the silent hamlet of Quaras, and the hamlets of Varda, Marteri and Piazze, make this itinerary ideal for those who want to enjoy slow tourism and savour the nature and tradition of these places. A large part of the return route follows the famous European path E5, undertaken every year by thousands of walkers willing to retrace this historic route, departing mainly from Germany and culminating in Venice. In spite of its modest length, thanks to the moderate altitude difference, the walkability of the paths and the natural points of interest, the route is suitable for all walkers, even families with children.

WARNING the route is currently closed due to work along the SP102 access road (closure by provincial ordinance until the end of March 2024).
