Accessible relaxation in Valsugana

A Trentino experience for everyone

The Valsugana is a place where you can recharge. Lakes, nature hikes, art and museums await you. Here you can take it easy and breathe in the mountain air.

Holidays in Valsugana are relaxing, fun and above all accessible. Many accommodation facilities have made arrangements to accommodate people with different disabilities, offering services and adapting spaces to eliminate barriers that limit access. Excursions, cultural venues and events are also designed to accommodate everyone, with no obstacles or limitations.

You can find many different inclusive options in Valsugana, depending on the season and your needs.

Among the obstacle-free itineraries, for example, is the route leading to the Cattedrale Vegetale in the Malga Costa area, which changes appearance with the seasons and where almost all the works are also accessible to wheelchair users.

Another accessible route is the one that takes you to the Hapsburg Park at the Levico Thermal Baths. In this natural oasis of old-world charm and sophistication, you can encounter more than 500 varieties of trees and about 75,000 bulb species.

If you want to enjoy the beauty of Lake Caldonazzo, there is an easy route with no gradients, suitable for anyone, that runs between the beach and the meadows. Also on the lake, you can choose the inclusive sports activities offered by the Cooperativa Sociale Archè, such as sailing and SUP surfing.

The “Palude di Roncegno” biotope is suitable for those who have mobility difficulties or move around in a wheelchair. It is easily accessible from the Valsugana cycle path and has no barriers, obstacles or steps. In addition, it is equipped with panels that can also be consulted by blind and visually impaired people, tactile indicators on the ground and rope sections that allow visually impaired people to reach the path independently and safely.

Here you can find more accessible trekking ideas and the outdooractive website lists the partially or totally barrier-free trails, partly thanks to mapping work by the Archè Cooperative

Art, museums and places where you can discover the stories of this land and its community are also increasingly open and inclusive.

If you are passionate about land art, for example, you can visit Arte Sella, an open-air exhibition of contemporary art where the works are exclusively made from natural materials.

The Music Museum also awaits you with its collection of instruments and texts from 1800 to the present day. Reservations are required to visit the museum. Admission is free, but there is a fee for the guided tour.

The Museum of Telve Customs and Traditions is the place to visit if you want to learn about the roots of the local community by observing the spaces and tools of the past.

These are just a few ideas: here you can find all barrier-free museums, information on their opening times and contacts for information on accessibility.

At this link, you can find the list of accessible facilities and all updates on the proposed experiences open to all.
