Alpine skiing champions in Trentino
The training grounds of the Norwegian and US men’s national alpine ski teams
WINTER 2023 – 2024 Trentino always welcomes – it’s in its very nature. In the same way, sport forms a fundamental part of Trentino’s character. This is why, in winter, Trentino is the headquarters of two great men’s alpine skiing teams.
For the next four years, in preparation for the World Cup, the athletes of the US and Norwegian alpine ski teams have chosen Trentino for their training.
Here in Trentino, the champions will have the ideal conditions to physically and mentally prepare themselves to the fullest for the great World Cup events. The technically suitable slopes, the care given to services, the hospitality, the location, and last but not least, the landscapes of the Dolomites and Italian Alps.
On the Paganella slopes, the Norwegian national alpine ski team feel right at home, perhaps also because that all-Italian “fjord”, Lake Garda, can be seen from the 2,125-metre altitude of Cima Paganella.
Then, the US national team are spending “four more years” at Alpe Cimbra, which has submitted its candidacy for European Community of Sport 2025.
