Giulio Ferrari Rosé, Riserva del Fondatore: an extraordinary sparkling wine
Cantine Ferrari’s cutting-edge wine
Lovely salmon coloured, with coppery hints verging on coral, boasting an alluring perlage with fine beads and generous, delicate nuances of dog rose jam and citrus fruits. On the palate, it shows a vibrant intensity, balanced by a fresh, rich flavour. This sparkling wine should be drunk slowly, in order to fully appreciate the wonderful texture of the perlage that caresses the palate. It is Giulio Ferrari Rosé, Riserva del Fondatore, the flagship wine of Cantine Ferrari.
Made from the best mountain Pinot noir grapes, blended with a small percentage of Chardonnay, it is the result of slow ageing on its lees for ten years and sparkling wine production expertise dating back more than a century.

Since 1902, Cantine Ferrari have been producing Trentodoc, the Trentino metodo classico sparkling wine, considered to be a top-class wine worldwide. This was confirmed in 2019 too, when the company was named “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year” for the Rosé and Blanc de Noirs categories, at “The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships”, the most important international sparkling wine competition in the world. The awards went to Ferrari Perlé Rosé Riserva 2013 and Ferrari Perlé Nero Riserva 2010.
The company, thanks to the 15 medals won by the winery’s Trentodoc wines, was also named “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year” for 2019.
This is why Giulio Ferrari Rosé, Riserva del Fondatore, presented in 2018, can be considered the noble descendant of a world-famous family of fine sparkling wines. A sparkling wine to be enjoyed in a superb setting, amidst endless rows of vines, looking out onto the peaks that surround the city of Trento.
