Spiazzo
Val Rendena's strategic location, Spiazzo features a pleasant Trentino summer and winter holiday destination
Historical seat of the Parish Church of Rendena, Spiazzo is the main town of the valley. Its mid-height location and the proximity of towns such as Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio, make it an ideal holiday destination - and especially family-friendly - both in the summer and wintertime.
The landscape here reveals all its beauty, at the foot of the spectacular peaks of the Dolomite Brenta range and Adamello and Presanella Massifs. Local attractions include a knife factory, the craft workshops of Borzago, and various distilleries producing gentian liqueur as well as workshops processing wild herbs into delicious foods.
Other sights not to be missed are the Parish Church of San Vigilio, who, as the legend has it, suffered martyrdom here, and the Cort de Tonio at Borzago, a space surrounded by houses and decorated with painted scenes of everyday life.
The area features a swimming pool with an Olympic pool and, in the winter, downhill and cross-country skiing facilities at Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio, or snow hikes, as well as the activities offered by the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park.
