Anello del Monte Maggio - Passo Coe

A not too difficult informative circular tour, which offers extensive views of the Altopiano di Folgaria and much more: from the peak of Monte Maggio views sweep from the Pasubio to the Brenta Dolomites and the Lagorai mountain range.

The Passo Coe area is an ideal ground for snowshoeing: a broad plateau with magnificent woods alternates with sunny pastures, where most of the peaks can be reached without too much difficulty. The only drawbacks are the newly created ski trails towards Costa d'Agra, which have effectively stopped tours in the northern area.<br/> Luckily, further south, towards the slopes of Monte Maggio, you can still find quieter areas appreciated by those who more discreetly move among nature...<br/> To illustrate the most interesting aspects of the area, we have involved our colleague Mario Martinelli, who is very familiar with these places that he has known for a lifetime.<br/> Together we have followed a great circular route, chancing upon animal tracks, “out-of-season” flowers, artefacts from the war and much more... An example of how, also in winter, the mountains covered at a walking pace offer a multitude of surprises and stories to tell.<br/> Such treasures make us think that, perhaps, it should be given greater consideration by those who are involved in developing tourism in the local area.
