"Genzianella" in concert
Performance by the choir from Tesero, in Val di Fiemme, which was founded in 1950 on the initiative of nine friends who are passionate about mountain folk singing and is one of the longest-running ensembles in Trentino
Over the years the men's "Genzianella" Choir of Tesero has participated in numerous concerts, festivals and competitions outside the region and abroad, presenting a repertoire inspired by the themes of the Great War and emigration in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys. He has even performed in the Vatican's Aula Nervi and in St. Peter's Square in Rome in 2007 and 2008, on the occasion of the exhibition of cribs in Tesero. The focus on Christmas carols led the choir to travel to Nuremberg for the famous Christmas markets. The choir, made up of around thirty members and directed by Maestro Diego Cavada, enthusiastically pursues its activities, convinced of the cultural importance of its work and of the social value of getting together and singing in friendship.
