Higher up, it revolves around three women we like to define as unshakable: Sarah Bernhardt, Marianne Heinisch and Táhirih.
The female question is the focus of their close dialogue, the figure of the woman, starting from the perception of herself and her role in society.
Sarah Bernhardt, the divine, the actress, speaks of female freedom, flaunting the body as a fundamental image of that freedom, the body as a weapon of emancipation, the body as a symbol, therefore, of that freedom; and for this reason the actress uses her body in advertising and in the then nascent film industry. Marianne Heinisch, the Austrian activist for women's rights, instead sees in that ostentatious body a danger, the danger of objectification of women, of the reduction of the feminine to an object of consumption.
The extraordinary strength of this clash is that it gives us back two unwavering women, because they are dedicated and driven by the desire for knowledge.
On stage there are two women aware that emancipation can only pass through the fight against all kinds of ignorance.
The two women meet through a third figure, the Iranian poetess Táhirih, who, thanks to poetry and to that exclusive knowledge of the male world, leads her battle for the liberation of women.
The young poet fights for women to have the opportunity to read and write, study theology and deal with politics.
