The 40th edition of the well-known UNDER ICE, the Ice Diving Stage, organised by the National Association of Diving Instructors - ANIS, could not be missed. Once again this year, the splendid Lavarone Lake, in the province of Trento at an altitude of over 1,000 metres, will see divers of every didactic code and Special Corps of the State engaged in a... thrilling test! The appointment is set for 25-26 January and on the Anis website it is possible to view the outline programme and send in the application form. The event is by now the first real event of the new year for the entire Italian diving community and allows you to increase your wealth of experience, with truly unique dives; all in complete safety. In fact, this year's event will also see the participation of around ten blind boys from the Albatros Association - Paolo Pinto Project. Self-contained breathing apparatus (cylinders) will be made available by the organisation and there will even be a night dive!
There will also be guests of honour from the diving world and manufacturers such as the prestigious CRESSI, for free trials, such as dry suits, diving lamps and underwater computers. Special thanks go to the Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna Highlands Tourist Board and to the special corps present, such as the State Police Divers, those of the Guardia di Finanza and the Coast Guard, as well as to the many Civil Protection volunteers, first and foremost Monza Soccorso, with their distinctive professional assistance.
These will be days of intense emotions, amidst the splendid snow-capped mountains of Trentino, with dives open to all, and prizes will be awarded to groups, schools or clubs, with at least 5 divers taking part; those arriving from furthest away and the largest group!
