An oasis of nature

Valsugana has many surprises in store.

You may not know this, but aside from the Christmas Markets, Valsugana offers plenty of nature and enchanting, little-known spots such as Valle dei Mocheni or Val Campelle.

The snow falls, and just like in a snowglobe it gives us a glittering landscape, where it is wonderful to walk through snow-covered woods and meadows, with snowshoes or simply with crampons. The mountain guides will introduce you to places and paths that are off the beaten track, on discovery walks, without steep climbs, and with particular attention to mountain safety.

Here some suggestions!

#1

On snowshoes

You can reach the mountain hut Malga Conseria from an easy forest road, or adventure on snowshoes to Sette Selle Mountain Hut, above Valle dei Mocheni. At the weekend, the mountain hut is open to offer you a delicious high-altitude lunch.

#2

In Val Campelle

Instead, from Lower Valsugana you can reach Val Campelle, where you will find many cross-country ski trails. You can also take part in organised trips, walking or on snowshoes, through the majestic landscapes of the Lagorai.

#3

Ice climbing

Then, for the most adventurous, there is the possibility to try climbing on the ice falls of Val Malene, starting from Pieve Tesino. A different experience to try in a group, suitable for most people, thanks to the help of specialised guides.

#4

The big Vaia sculptures

If you prefer walking at a lower altitude, unleash your imagination and marvel at the Vaia artworks, which depict nature and its symbols. Don't miss a walk to see the Lagorai Wolf, the Tesino Griffon and the Marcesina Eagle.

#5

On the lakes and at low altitude

And if you would rather not stray far from the villages, you can go on a refreshing stroll at a lower altitude or on the shores of Lago di Levico or Lago di Caldonazzo, and then quickly return to town to enjoy a lovely hot chocolate.

#6

Christmas Markets

For these moments spent in company, nothing is better than a walk around Pergine's historical centre, or Levico Terme, in Habsburg Park, for the Christmas Markets. From 11th November until Epiphany, you can treat yourself to stalls, delicious food and many events connected to Advent traditions.
