Val di Sole: sport and nature without barriers

A Trentino experience for everyone

The fresh, green scent of the forests, the roar of the rivers, the colours of the mountains that change with the seasons: outdoor activities in Val di Sole are experiences that recharge you and leave their mark.

Here, nature awaits you to experience adventures and enjoy moments of relaxation. You can have fun and try many outdoor activities suitable for all levels, from the most amateur and simple to the most challenging.

You can go cycling, trekking or rafting, a sport that attracts many enthusiasts to Val di Sole every year in search of energy, adrenalin and intense contact with nature. Rafting requires no special sporting skills and is also suitable for people with motor or sensory disabilities. If you would like to try this adventure, book in advance at one of the rafting centres in the area: let them know your requirements and get ready for fun.

Besides rafting, there are many outdoor activities to choose from.

You can explore the Val di Sole by following the seven inclusive routes selected for cyclists with disabilities, which are suitable for use with e-handbikes and e-tandems.

If you love hiking and want to immerse yourself in nature by following the cool paths through valleys and forests, you will find accessible or partially barrier-free trails in the Sole Valley. We always recommend that you follow these routes accompanied by a guide

You can find information on hiking routes here. If you have any doubts or would like to ask for further information, you can contact the local information offices.

But the Val di Sole is not just about sport and nature. You can visit museums and cultural sites and discover the traditions, history and legends of this land, rumours and stories that have been passed down for generations.

When planning your itinerary, check the accessibility of the museums, huts and castles you would like to visit: those suitable for wheelchair users are indicated with a symbol to make them recognisable.

For example, the MMAPE Bee Museum in Croviana, where you can learn more about the world of bees and experience the life of a beekeeper, is fully accessible to people with motor disabilities.

The Museum of Val di Sole Culture in Malé is accessible to the visually impaired: a sound film reproduces voices and noises of a festive day in an early-20th century Sole Valley house.

Finally, don’t forget authentic flavours and mountain cuisine. During your trip, you can visit dairies equipped to accommodate wheelchair users: all accessible facilities are mapped here.

And in winter? Everyone on the snow!

Winter activities are also full of inclusive opportunities.

The area’s seven ski schools offer disabled people the chance to have fun in the snow. Contact the school in the area where you are staying and book the equipment that will make your holiday adrenaline-filled: you can request dualskis and monoskis and experience the thrill of the descents.

To organise your holiday, keep an eye on the inclusive offers: Sole Valley is waiting for you to fill up on happiness.
