Accessible Paganella Dolomites

Trentino experiences for everyone

Paganella Dolomites welcomes you with its many facets and many opportunities to discover its spirit.

The Brenta Dolomites with their high peaks and imposing vertical walls, Lake Molveno with its deep and intense hues, the villages with their well-defined, highly diverse identities: whether you are looking for exciting adventures in nature or a slow and quiet corner of the world to recharge your batteries, the Paganella Dolomites is the right place for your holiday.

From mid-June to mid-September, partly thanks to the commitment of the local mountain guides and tour leaders, you can choose from a variety of activities and excursions open to all.

The Cappuccino Tour is a route designed for cycling enthusiasts. It is also accessible to people with reduced mobility, who can book joelettes, handbikes and electric tandem bikes.

There is also an e-bike family tour for cycling enthusiasts. This is a route of approximately 10 kilometres on asphalt and dirt roads and mountain paths. It is suitable for families and people with motor disabilities and mobility difficulties, who can reserve handbikes, electric tandem bikes and joelettes.

To get to know the heart of the area and its community, you can choose the guided tour of San Lorenzo Dorsino. Between stone and wooden houses and a taste of typical products, you will hear the voices of those who live in these places: ancient, generous and welcoming stories. This walk is also accessible to people with mobility difficulties, who can book special aids to participate.

Inclusive holidays for all tastes

Another opportunity to discover the area, in particular its animals and zero-kilometre products, is the farm experience

You will visit a farm in Fai Paganella together with Francesca, a mountain guide.

During the tour you will meet the animals that inhabit the farm: cows, chickens, geese and peacocks. You will visit the vegetable gardens, discover the flavours that are cultivated season after season, and have a tasty snack of local produce.

The route is suitable for everyone. There is a minimal elevation gain, the duration is short (about 35 minutes) and the trail is also suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

If you would like to experience climbing, aperi-climbing at the Falesia Dimenticata is the ideal experience to try during your holiday. After a walk around San Lorenzo Dorsino, you will reach the Falesia Dimenticata, where mountain guides specialised in teaching disabled people will guide you in climbing. An aperitif in the heart of the forest will conclude the adventure.

Another event dedicated to those who love climbing high peaks is Brenta Open, organised by the Dolomiti Open association. This is a traverse of the Brenta Dolomites involving disabled and non-disabled mountaineers. The experience ends with a big mountain hut party open to all and designed to accommodate people with disabilities, sportsmen and women as well as simple mountain lovers.

And for your winter holidays?

If you love snow and winter sports, you can enjoy the ski slopes with the support of instructors specialised in teaching people with motor and visual disabilities. Should you require it, you can also rent inclusive equipment such as monoskis and dualskis. Here you can find all the information and contacts to organise your accessible skiing experience.

If you would rather recharge your batteries in peace and quiet, you can find many easily reachable and accessible corners of nature in the Paganella Dolomites. An example of a green paradise is the Parco del Respiro, a beech forest where you can enjoy Forest Bathing, aligning your breath with that of the forest.
