Accessible Campiglio: the two souls of the mountain
A Trentino experience for everyone
The Brenta Dolomites to the east, the Adamello-Presanella Alps to the west: a mosaic of biodiversity awaits you in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Geopark. Rocks, ice, alpine lakes, waterfalls and centuries-old forests with their huge variety of flora and fauna: you are in the Unesco Biosphere, a unique land that opens up to welcome you. Here, the “Sentire la montagna” project offers six selected experiences to discover the area in an inclusive way.
With Beer and flavours of the Dolomites you can visit an Alpine brewery at an altitude of 1550 metres. In addition to discovering the secrets of craft brewing, you will taste beers directly from the fermentation vat. It will be a sensory journey of flavours and fragrances that is inclusive and accessible to visually impaired people.
If you want to organise a moment of relaxation during your holiday, choose from the Dolomiti Natural Wellness options. The heart of these routes is contact with nature: clear water, clean mountain light and infinite shades of forest scents. You can feel the fresh air on your skin and watch the sun’s rays playing with the shade of the trees.
For those who wish to combine mountains and wellness, another accessible option is yoga at dawn among the peaks in Madonna di Campiglio, an experience designed to reconnect with nature and calm the heart. The teacher will guide the participants with their voice, giving all the instructions for performing the practice, so the experience is also suitable for blind and visually impaired people.
The Albe in Malga experience offers a closer insight into mountain life. Wake up before dawn, a short walk to the dairy and finally the activities with the herdsman begin. The morning ends with a breakfast consisting of local products.
This experience is accessible to people with sensory disabilities: when you book, please specify your needs so that the guide can adapt the route and the morning programme.
Discovering secret herbs and fruits is an experience that brings you closer to mountain nature, its silence and the sense of peace that surrounds slow things. After a non-alcoholic toast and a quick snack, Signora Barbara will accompany you to pick herbs and small fruits, explaining their uniqueness and the secrets of how best to preserve them. The experience also includes a workshop: depending on the season you will create jams, flavoured salts or biscuits.
This option is accessible to people with sensory disabilities.
Health, local culture and flavours come together in the Relax and Dine in the Villageexperience. In the heart of Caderzone Terme you can spend an afternoon in the sauna, steam room and whirlpool, and end the day with a candlelight dinner, where traditional dishes are only cooked with zero-mileage ingredients. The experience is accessible to people with sensory disabilities.
Before booking experiences, make sure they suit your specific needs:
- telephone 0465 447501
- email info@campigliodolomiti.it
However, the accessible options do not end with these specially created experiences.
The opportunities to experience the mountains and discover their landscapes, identity and nature include:
- the San Vili trail, also suitable for the visually impaired, which starts at Madonna di Campiglio
- the Patascoss-Nambino path, which is completely barrier-free and accessible to people with various disabilities
- the “accessible beauty trails” in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, which are barrier-free and also suitable for people with motor and sensory disabilities
If you are considering an event in which you would like to participate, on this page you will find information on accessibility and contact details of the organisation for each event.
Finally, this map of cultural centres shows the accessibility of the various points of interest, monuments and routes.
