For this reason, over 900 hectares of vineyards are already farmed using organic methods, with the application of specific protocols: a trend which grows from strength to strength every year. This care for the land is reflected in its end products and is particularly notable in the wines, which act as sophisticated and highly expressive ambassadors for the region.

It is thanks to this ever-increasing quality, and to the now-ubiquitous taste of indigenous varieties such as Nosiola and Marzemino, that Trentino has been awarded the title of Wine Region of the Year 2020. The accolade comes from across the Atlantic; specifically from the influential New York magazine Wine Enthusiast, a voice of authority in the world of wine.
The award provides the wine-producers of Trentino with encouragement, gratification and an incentive to keep on improving, both for their customers and for their land.
