Saturday, November 16, 2024, the "Basement" returns to the Teatro SanbàPolis in Trento; on consoles Barbara Boeing - Alter Disco and Godblesscomputers live.
After the first two events, Basement "A Place To Dance" is back with a series of events dedicated to the world of electronic music - part of the SanbàClub programme curated by the S. Chiara Cultural Services Centre in Trento.
For the occasion, on Saturday 16 November, the Teatro SanbàPolis will host a live show by Godblesscomputers, an Italian producer and beatmaker, who mixes his background between turntables and samplers in a dimension rich in grooves with slower rhythms and dancefloor fillers. His recording career began with "Veneno" and then followed with "Plush And Safe" and "Grooves", before the most recent album "The Island". Among its influences you can catch the golden age of hip hop mixed with sometimes dreamlike, sometimes more energetic suggestions. Analogue synths, guitars, kalimbe, scratch and old school sampling are the most obvious details of his sound and the mix he creates during his live show.
Barbara Boeing, on the other hand, will mix the influences of her homeland, Curitiba, a city in southern Brazil, with the most cosmopolitan disco, funk and jazz suggestions. Founder of the party Alter Disco, based in festivals such as Dekmantel and Time Warp Brasil, she regularly performs in clubs such as the Jazz Café in London, Le Sucre in Lyon and the Panorama Bar in Berlin. Several illustrious collaborations in highly successful parties such as Cocktail d 'Amore and with ToyTonics, a label that has contributed to the prominence of the Italian disco phenomenon over the last few years.
It is precisely on this label that the Brazilian producer has produced some of her most significant tracks. Barbara, however, is also well known for her versatility that allows her to be an elegant selector and the most energetic of DJs when the dancefloor demands it.
Nicola Belli will do the honours of the house, ideally representing Basement. It is difficult to condense his twenty-year career that has gone through different phases of club culture and different stylistic influences. From international parties at the Tresor in Berlin and the Macarena in Barcelona, through the different consoles divided with international guests including Dj Koze, Ame, Moodymann and KiNK, to parallel projects of great echo such as Off Topic, a podcast dedicated to club culture, to date among the most followed on the subject.
