Casa Cüs
A perfect example of rural Alpine architecture. The collection of over 300 work tools is full of tools for processing and chiselling copper, from wooden hammers to those made of iron or steel.
A typical example of rural Alpine architecture, this museum offers a journey to discover the ancient crafts, customs and traditions of the area. In particular, the exhibition "La Bottega del Ramaio" is composed of about 300 work tools by the ramaio Egidio Gottardi, originally from Javrè, used in his artisan workshop in Tione and donated to Casa Cüs by his children. The collection is rich in tools for processing and chiselling copper, from wooden hammers for shaping containers to those made of iron or steel for decorative hammering, together with anvils of the most different shapes and sizes, bellows, shears, compasses and many other tools often made by the same craftsman, both for the execution of routine work and for special needs.
