Historical-gastronomic itinerary on the Brentonico Plateau
A tasting of artisan beers in the suggestive village of Castione, not far from the town of Brentonico in the heart of the Monte Baldo Park.
You are in Castione, a small village on the Brentonico Plateau, land of the majestic fruit tree for which it is renowned: the chestnut tree. Here you can visit the sales point of the Viesi Carlo Organic Farm and taste two of the various types of local beers produced accompanied by a slice of homemade cake. You can learn about the different production techniques of this beverage, from the countryside to the glass, and also discover the farm’s other products. Before or after the tasting, we recommend a free loop walk from the village of Castione to the village of Brentonico, to enjoy the fresh mountain air on these hot summer days. You will cross the ancient roads connecting the chestnut groves and other characteristic cultivations of this area and encounter some remains dating back to the First World War of the Italian stronghold of Monte Giovo.
