Rosetta Verticale
The Rosetta Verticale is a competitive run with starting point in San Martino di Castrozza and arrival on the Rosetta Top.
The 9th Edition of the Rosetta Vertical Trail Run!
The Rosetta Vertical Trail Run is a captivating mountain running race that winds along the western slopes of Cimon della Pala up to the summit of Cima Rosetta.
It starts from the famous village of San Martino di Castrozza, ascending beneath the Colverde cable car to the namesake Rifugio (mountain hut). From here, the route follows the historic trail 701, which was fully restored a few years ago by the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park Authority. The trail climbs steeply in switchbacks towards the Dente del Cimon, crosses beneath Cima Corona, reaches the base of the Rosetta cable car tower, and then arrives at the top of the cable car. With one final short vertical stretch, runners reach the summit cross of Cima Rosetta, where the race ends.
The view from the summit is spectacular, offering impressive vistas of Cimon, the famous lunar-like Altipiano delle Pale, as well as a panoramic view of the Primiero valley and the surrounding ring of mountains, providing a stunning 360° view.
