Museo degli attrezzi agricoli
The tools collected in the houses, where they were still used in the sign of a veneration of a by now distant tradition, but also in respect of their still current usefulness, are now preserved in the museum of agricultural tools in Canale.
The visitor who enters the small, but precious museum, is immediately led to the memory of the hard and tiring work, which from dawn to dusk, engaged our grandparents; just remember the collection and conservation of fodder and foliage to make the bed in the animals' stable, those stables where in the evening it was possible to gather to talk and make ends meet telling stories and fables in the long winter evenings.
You can see the "Gerle" tools that testify to the tiring stride to go up slopes; from the furrow of the plough the ear; from the "molinèl" the gold of the wheat; the tools essential to the transformation of milk: "Buscène", "Stampi per el boter ", "Smarzaròle", the "zangola" where the cream was transformed into butter; then there is the cellar environment where the hard work was compensated in a clear glass of wine; the tools to cut and work the wood; the carpenter's workshop and the tools of the coopers.
A look at peasant life that has seen the phenomena of nature and history pass over the centuries, a life represented by these specimens, increasingly rare, a peasant life that in our time is invested and distorted by a general technological revolution, what remains today is a museum, where observing these agricultural tools carefully preserved, with admiration, we think of our grandparents.
