Concerto di whyamelie
The electro-acoustic sounds of the young Italian singer at the Roda di Vael Rifugio
Yasmine Di Cataldo is an Italian singer, songwriter and creative artist. Born in Liguria to an Algerian mother and an Apulian father, she has lived in Milan, Miami and London. Since 2015, she has been part of several independent musicians' circles in these cities, where she had the opportunity to experiment, explore and be influenced by different cultures and musical styles. With her project WHYAMELIE, she allows herself to unite, mix, but also separate, break and rebuild, using electronics and sounds far removed from traditional songwriting. Nevertheless, it maintains a link with the popular song, ready to recall it when necessary. WHYAMELIE expresses in her songs truths that become relative, singing what could not be expressed in any other way.
The concert, starting at 2.30 p.m. and lasting about 45 minutes, is open to all and does not require a reservation. It is advisable to reach the refuge at least 15 minutes beforehand to ensure a good seat and to enjoy the atmosphere to the full, thanks also to the unique autumn panorama of the Catinaccio and Latemar mountains.
