What does “Blue Flag” mean?
It means that the lake water is of high-quality, as it respects strict chemical parameters that are periodically monitored: no wastewater in the surrounding area, clean beaches and leaks under control. The Blue Flag is an international recognition, established in 1987, the European Year of the Environment. Every year it is awarded to municipalities and tourist destinations in 49 European and non-European countries.
