Programme

July 30
3.30 p.m.: meeting point in Campitello at the Col Rodella cable car (2485 m). Walking together along the easy and panoramic path Friedrich August n. 557-4 in about 2 hours and a half we will reach the Rifugio Sasso Piatto Plattkofelhutte (2300 m)
6.30 p.m. : rooms allocation at Rifugio Sasso Piatto
7.00 p.m. : dinner with traditional products at the mountain hut
8.30 p.m. : we say goodbye to Karl Kasseroler, the owner of Malga Sasso Piatto, to attend a brief illustration of the programme for the next day

July 31
5.15 a.m. : wake up!
5.45 a.m. : led by Karl and his colleagues we will gather the cattle (about fifteen heads) of the diary then we'll move to the near hut for a light breakfast (coffee, milk, bread and butter) and finally, let's milk the cows together!
6.30/7.00 a.m. : participants will be divided into two groups and will play an active role both during the milking and the dairy activities such as bread, cheese (fresh , taleggio, spreadable with herbs, seasoned crust etc.) and butter making
9/9.30 a.m. : after this hard work, we'll enjoy a merited break with a tasty breakfast made of milk, fruit and elder juice, jam, home-made traditional cakes and sweets, fritters, eggs, butter, cheese, speck and many other kinds of cured meats and fresh bread.
11/11.30 a.m. : leaving the mountain dairy, guided by the expert alpine guide Giuliano Mazzel, we'll start the excursion:
1) in case of good weather: long excursion along the path n. 4-594, mostly slight slope, till Duron pass 2200 m and then heading to Campitello 1448 m, descending into the valley through the Val Duron on the path n. 532 (5 hours).
2) in case of bad weather: short excursion following the path n. 533 we will head directly to Campitello (2 hours). Return at 4.30 p.m.: (long excursion) or 2.00 p.m. (short excursion) and conclusion of #albeinmalga

Package prices
70 euro for adults (max 35 beds; paid enrollments, bank transfer by July 13th 2015), including lift ticket, dinner, overnight stay and light snack at the mountain hut, activities, rich breakfast at the dairy and excursion with the alpine guide
53 euro for children till 12 years old), including lift ticket, dinner, overnight stay and light snack at the mountain hut, activities, rich breakfast at the dairy and excursion with the alpine guide
Packed- lunch (it is possible to buy it directly at the mountain dairy on the morning of 31st July) 5 euro sandwich (speck and cheese, at discretion of the dairy owners), fruits, bottle of water (1/2) liter (those who would like to have the packed lunch are kindly asked to inform us during the enrollment at the tourist office)
